Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-28
The short version
NILifi is a financial-literacy platform for student athletes and the people around them. Use it to learn. Don’t share your account. Don’t use it to harm anyone. Don’t use it to break the law. We’ll suspend accounts that do.
This policy applies to everyone who accesses NILifi — athletes, parents, institutional staff, partners, and visitors to the marketing site. It works alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Account integrity
- Use your real name and accurate profile information. Misrepresenting your identity, school, or eligibility status is a violation.
- One account per person. Don’t share login credentials. Parents and athletes each get their own account, linked through our parent-link flow.
- Don’t let someone else complete the curriculum on your behalf — your certificate is a record of your learning, not someone else’s.
- Tell us right away at contact@nilifi.app if you suspect your account has been compromised.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use NILifi to harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate any person.
- Submit content you don’t have the right to submit, including copyrighted material owned by others.
- Probe, scan, or otherwise attempt to test the security of the platform without our written permission. (If you’re a security researcher: see “Security research” below — we welcome reports.)
- Bypass, attempt to bypass, or interfere with rate limits, bot protections, authentication, or audit logging.
- Scrape, copy, or republish lesson content beyond fair use, or to build a competing service.
- Use automated systems (scripts, bots, scrapers) to interact with the platform without our written permission.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt the platform or harm other users.
- Use NILifi in connection with any activity that violates applicable law, including securities fraud, tax fraud, or other financial offenses.
- Use NILifi to provide individualized financial, tax, or legal advice as if you were a licensed professional.
Content you submit
Some flows let you submit text — onboarding fields, contact forms, questions to instructors. Don’t submit:
- Personal information about other people (especially minors) without permission.
- Financial account numbers, Social Security numbers, or payment-card data — NILifi is not a place to store those.
- Slurs, harassment, or content that targets a person or group.
- Sexually explicit material. NILifi is used in school settings.
Institutional and partner deployments
When NILifi is delivered through a school, athletic department, collective, or partner, additional rules from that organization may apply (an athletic-department code of conduct, a collective’s member agreement). Those rules layer on top of this AUP — they do not replace it.
Enforcement
If we believe you’ve violated this policy, we may:
- Warn you and ask you to stop.
- Restrict specific features (for example, lock submitting comments).
- Suspend or terminate your account.
- Notify your institution if your account is institution-licensed and the conduct affects them.
- Report unlawful conduct to law enforcement when required.
For most violations we’ll start with a warning. Severe or repeated violations skip the warning.
Reporting
Saw something off? Tell us:
- Account abuse / harassment: contact@nilifi.app
- Privacy / FERPA concerns: privacy@mw-creative.com
- Copyright / DMCA notices: legal@mw-creative.com
Security research
If you’re a security researcher and you’ve found a vulnerability, please report it to security@mw-creative.com. Don’t use the issue to access data you wouldn’t otherwise be authorized to see, don’t demand payment as a condition of disclosure, and give us a reasonable window to fix it before public discussion. In return: we won’t pursue legal action against good-faith research conducted under those terms.
Changes
We’ll update this policy as the platform changes. Material updates are announced in the application banner. Continued use of NILifi after an update means you accept the updated policy.
